Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the projects he is assigned to are completed in a timely and economical manner in keeping with the Company and Project’s business objectives
- Monitors and focuses project execution schedule and plan based on each phase of the project requirement
- Ensures Hull meets all Design Specifications in accordance with class, technical requirements and project objectives
- Liaises with Client on various report requirement and updates.
- Manages Hull engineering and construction and commissioning activities at construction sites in China.
- Ensures weekly status accurately depicts percent complete, remaining labor and material costs
- Participates in JHA and review risk assessment for key critical project activities
- Maintains effective working relationships across Client team, the Seatrium team, Hull contractor and subcontractors
- Prepares and presents Monthly Executive Review which accurately portray project status, issues with mitigation plans, schedule compliance and opportunity in addition to identifying areas that indicate signs of risk to the project’s success
- Pursues and anticipates emergent work items and associated tasking
- Meets daily with the project team, to review open issues, actions required in support of cost and schedule, identifying, and tracking items which may impact cost and or schedule
- Complies and ensures workforce follow closely to Safe Work Procedure (SWP) for all work activities
- Monitors housekeeping standards and assigns areas of responsibilities, Compliance to PPE requirements, safe behavior as appropriate to Seatrium’s Life Saving Rules
- Works with Contractor on areas outside of responsibilities to ensure a safe working environment for all
- Ensures post-mortems and lesson learnt on project are done and to review the achievement of project objectives.
- Practices awareness of the broader view while reinforcing the meticulous execution of project specific items.
- Oversees the Hull contract execution through handover to integration yard and closure of shipyard contract.
- Ensures that all Hull project documentation (final as built) is completed
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine and Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering/Project Management.
- At least 4 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of Shipyard Operations
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
