Responsibilities:
- Creates detailed designs for HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment, and specify in system components.
- Leads and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers and operation team, to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions.
- Ensures all designs and systems comply with contracts specification, industry rules and regulations, and safety protocols
- Prepares technical documentation, including Equipment Technical Specification, Duct & Instrument Diagram, Functional Design Specification, and Site Acceptance Test
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine and renewable energy technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Specialized courses in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer are highly beneficial.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), MagiCAD, Carrier HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), Trane TRACE 700 and knowledge of Building Management Systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to convey complex technical information clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
