Lead Commissioning Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Execute and supervise dealings in accordance to commissioning guidelines and deadlines.
  • Extremely proficient with the testing procedures and knows the applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies very well.
  • Prepares and keeps up to date the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment).
  • Manages the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
  • Prepares the commissioning progress reports to the project management and to the commissioning department.
  • Familiarity with test memos and manuals.
  • Ensure incoming equipment meet the purchase specifications as well arrangement for protection and maintenance of equipment and system.
  • Plan, coordinate and schedule the testing / commissioning requirements with various departments as well as organizing the logistics requirement of all operations.
  • Liaise with owners, class surveyors and government bodies pertaining to project requirements.
  • Ensure all commissioning test procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of key milestones and project.


Requirements

  • Degree in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine & Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical from a recognized tertiary institute
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects and comprehensive knowledge on functionality of FPSO
  • In-depth mechanical commissioning knowledge and experience with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Familiar with all the Vessel class regulation and codes
  • Have a proven track record of hands-on working knowledge in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, able to multi-task and adaptable to a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative environment
